Fusion 360 Design history missing

Jun 19, 2020

Do you ever open a file on Fusion 360 and you can't find the timeline or design history?

 (00:13):

Well, let's figure it out. So you right click and there's this option do not capture design history. If that's there, that's a great sign because if I look at this other file, it doesn't have a design history, but that's how it should behave. Because when I right click, I can start capturing the design history. Again, the reason we do that is you're allowed to get into this, allows you to get into the mesh workspace and do some other functionality without capturing the timeline. And the file can be a lot lighter as well. Okay. So back to this problem, where in the world is my history or my timeline. So one tip found on the forums. I go up to view, reset to default layout. Uh, love this one. Um, especially when I'm dealing with multiple monitors. Some days I can't find my menu by hitting this, that can bring back your design history, or at least it did for me one time. So hope this helps I'll see you in the next video.
