Fusion 360 Line To Arc Shortcut Tutorial

Aug 06, 2020

How do you do the line to arc in Fusion 360 ?

you may have noticed as you click, I'm clicking once for each end point as I go. And this is called chaining in Fusion. Now, one thing you might have seen a shortcut with that others do where maybe in my channel you've seen me do when you're clicking a line, you're about to start another. What you can do is come back to the end point, click and drag it out. Some holding down the left mouse button, and it's creating this arc. This arc is what's called a tangent arc. You'll notice that little tangent symbol there when I click and drag and do it again, it's doing another tangent arc. Now, if you don't want to do the shortcut, the other way to do this is do a search for arc and find tangent arc.

And you can drag that arc wherever you need to go. And again, it is a tangent arc. If the tangent arc is too restrictive and it's not giving you what you need, do a search for arc, and maybe try this three point arc. This should let you pretty much solve any variation of arc that you're trying to get to. Um, from, you know, the extension of this, keep in mind, it's not building in tangency. You can then add tangency, uh, after the fact it will have to change it to solve that. Of course.
