Fusion 360 Sketching Separate Lines and Multiple Lines

Aug 19, 2020

Hey, so in Fusion 360, you have the ability as you click to continue to sketch a shape until either it's completed or you finish the line command. Now, how do you finish the line command? There's this friendly little green checkbox highlight screen when you select it, or when you're clicking, you can double click and that will exit out of the line or complete the line command, but it keeps the line command activated. The other way, of course, as you're sketching is to hit escape. And that turns off the line command and releases you from the command. So if you wanted to sketch, say five separate line entities, the two fastest, maybe easiest ways would be click. And as you're done hit this checkbox, it keeps you in the line command allowing me to sketch several different shapes and then finish out. So the other way to achieve this as you're clicking click at the end double click, and that releases it. So almost the exact same thing as the checkbox achieves the same thing. It keeps the line command active and lets you finish out that line. You can see this one. This is a great example. This is what I bump into all the time I have to hit escape. Sometimes the DoubleClick just can be a little problematic. So for me, I think if I had to replicate every time, the checkbox is probably going to behave best for me. Hope that helps see in the next video.
